I have just put out the call for mentors and mentees for this year's ITI Spanish Network Mentoring Scheme for new translators. The pilot last year was a roaring success with great feedback from both sides of the mentoring partnerships.
If you would be interested in being a mentor or a mentee on this scheme, if you would like help in setting up a similar initiative in your translation group, or if you would simply like more details of what is involved, contact me and I can send you further info.

Hi - I'm interested in being a mentee although I'm not yet sure what it involves! I got my Dip/Trans in Spanish > English back in 2003 and didn't immediately set up as a translator as I wanted to concentrate on my art practice (I also have a degree in Fine Arts) However, I would like to make use of it now and try and set up as a translator specialising in art catalogues - essays and artists interviews. I'm sure this won't be easy so I'd love some tips or advice.
many thanks
